I have other teak products (grade "A") from Indonesia and local businesses. This bench has flaws. Had I seen it personally, I would not pay $176. More like $100. There were cracks in some of the knots and panels. A rear panel had a patch to cover a break. And, I believe the blacks spots on one leg is fungus. They would not come off when I washed the bench with Oxalic acid to clean the dirt off the wood. Your shipping was good and arrived on time. Not sure if I would order "C" grade product again. I bathed it in Teak oil. I'm waiting to see how it looks after the summer.
TEAK CLOSEOUTS RESPONSE This review is the first we've heard of the complaint. We've since offered to replace the bench at no cost, but it will be up to the customer whether they want to disassemble and reassemble a new bench. We stand behind all the c-grade product we sell. It is less than 10% of our products, but when we get them, we make sure the item is good enough for internet sales. And technically, c-grade is c-grade and a-grade is a-grade.
