Serviceable, not beautiful April 13, 2014 Reviewer: Walter Pearson from Saint Paul, MN United States   The shape of both seat and back sold me on this bench. The teak is not the nice clear tan type, but more of the dark, streaky and knurly stuff - with some poorly filled voids. Though not much instruction is actually needed, the one supplied is not very good. (Plugs to fill the fastener counterbores would be a nice addition.) The bench was shipped promptly, packed well, and is a good value at the item price and shipping charge. Was this review helpful to you?

garden bench—who would've thought? May 28, 2013 Reviewer: Dan from Gloucester, MA United States   We figured we were taking a chance by ordering teak over the Net, sight unseen, but for the price (not much more than a new pine bench we'd bought five years ago and had to throw out this spring as it was rotted away), it seemed worth the risk. We were very happily surprised to get it this week—fast shipping, well packaged, no nicks anywhere, relatively easy to assemble (40 minutes), and well crafted. I applied a coat of teak oil to it yesterday and it looks stunning in the shady corner of our garden, not just fine decoration but an inviting spot to hang with a book on a hot summer day, if we ever get one up here this year.
