Very Satisfied Customer January 4, 2021 Reviewer: Phillip Penley from Mooresville, NC United States   My (8) Manchester Arm Chairs arrived in perfect condition and the packaging was very manageable. Like all other first time projects, there was certainly a "figure it out" element to the assembly process. The very simple (pictoral only) instrcutions that are provided in the packaging do not emphasize the importance of achieving perfect alignment before attempting to drive in you dowels, therefore my first few were a failure and required me to drill them out. I then made a brilliant decision to use a perfectly sized bolt (with socket in drill) that when bottomed-out would insure perfect alignment and easy hammering of dowels. The recommended wood glue is a must. I recommend a rubber mallet for setting the pieces in place but a std. metal hammer for dowels. Once assembled, I decided to use a Minwax (Spar Urethane) outdoor grade clear coat that absolutely brought the wood to life. Was this review helpful to you?

Great teak arm chair December 13, 2020 Reviewer: Jimmy Johnson from Mount Laurel , NJ United States   These are quality heavy duty chairs.  You need to be a little handy to assemble them(as they clearly say when ordering) but the construction and teak are high quality.  If I need more this is definitely the place to go.  Super fast shipping. Teak Chairs Purchase November 23, 2020 Reviewer: Thomas Vereb from Knoxville, TN United States   We are already enjoying the teak chairs that were purchased.   The teak is very good quality and the mortice-tendon/dowel joints make this chair very sturdy when assembled.   They look good and are very comfortable.   My only word of caution would be that the joints are really tight - I usually like to dry-fit all the parts first but the joints are so precise, you really can't do that.   Also make sure that you put the seat panel in while you are joining all the other parts together at the same time.   I would buy this chair again. Old school perfection November 9, 2020 Reviewer: Patriot from Venice , FL United States   Let me start by saying these chairs are like battleships rocksolid very well packed delivered quickly only had one issue one of the backs on one of my chairs the bottom part had a crack in it and overtime it would’ve broken off no worries some really good wood glue couple of clamps 12 hours later a little sanding and perfect. The assembly process was so simple a 12 year old could’ve done it highly recommend Glue and wooden dowels only way to go they will hold together forever love these chairs highly recommend them highly recommend the folks that I purchased them from it doesn’t get better than this 5 stars thanks for 4 excellent chairs at an excellent price that in my opinion will last a lifetime. TEAK CLOSEOUTS RESPONSE They really are the best teak chair deal on the entire web.  It's nice to start getting reviews now that some of the product is sold.  Our job is to find good items and offer them at fair prices.....and sometimes we find top-of-the-line items at great prices! Excellent chairs October 13, 2020 Reviewer: M. Frishe from Chapel Hill, NC United States   The Manchester Teak Arm chairs are everything they were advertised to be and more.  Beautiful wood, pleasing design, excellent construction, solid joints,  a pleasure to assemble, and comfortable to sit in. The shipping information was accurate, the chairs were very carefully packed, and they arrived without damage and with all parts, including spare dowels and wood screws.  A call to check some details about assembly brought very helpful suggestions to use to use a small diameter rod to check that the joints were properly aligned by measuring the insertion depth before trying to insert the dowel pins, and to use a palm sander with a coarse grit to remove the "front" and "back" sticky labels that made orientation crystal clear, and to smooth off the nub ends of the dowels.
