Do a search on Google and try and find another....one of the great things about closeouts is we go through hundreds of factories and warehouses per year. We see some amazing stuff. Often, we have to pass on some of the truly unique items because it doesn't fit our core principles. But like our famous Lexingtonian J Peterman, we also have an eye for the spectacular. Sorry NYer's, he's really a Kentuckian. And to pay homage to Seinfeld and J Peterman, we will describe this bed in such manner (see last image).
THE ADULT TREEHOUSE "There are beds and there 'are beds'. A few of us were lucky to have a treehouse. The ladder, the hidden adult magazine, a place to hide when dreams were still magical. This was before cell phones and video games - before CGI made any fantasy a reality. For the few of us that never grew up, we present the adult treehouse. Boss. Captain. Leader. Was it your treehouse that started you on this adventure? 3000lbs of teak root still capable of holding your adult dreams. No password required.
TEAK CLOSEOUTS WRITING STYLE (facts based and to the point). One-of-a-kind TEAK ROOT BED. The posts are a massive 10-12". This bed weighs a disturbing 1250lbs. The photos you see is the bed you will receive. This was one of the extra beds made for a 5-star Abu Dhabi hotel. The random "branches" are actually root and were subterranean. The bed is shipped with the headboard and footboard assembled. You attach the rails and slats. This bed would look great in some large Colorado ski home or amazing hunting lodge. It is possible to get the Queen ($6900) and Twin ($5900) sizes if anyone has ideas for a whole lodge/home package. Unfortunately, we do not have matching nightstands or accessories (although a few good nightstand ideas do come to mind if required and requested).
Runner-up Title - King of the Forest, Tarzans Bed,
Quick Dimensions - 87" wide, 100" in depth, top headboard side rail height 67". Full dimensions are posted with last image. 2.54cm = 1 inch.
Do not confuse this bed with similar coffee beds (coffee wood). The posts of coffee wood are normally 6-7" thick - and impressive in their own right, but less substantial. NOTE: Most sharp points have been removed, dulled, or muted. Yet, this bed is still a hulking piece of teak root with random edges in a chaotic and unfettered manner. Please carefully review the bed after assembly and modify and
