East Java glidek - over 100 years old. Likely from the 19th century. An interested and unique piece that is sure to confuse your guests. These served as day beds.

The piece has been cleaned and scrubbed extensively with a 3M pad only. The darker color at the bottom of the bed is likely some old wood preservative. We made no attempt to sand the unit or restore its condition.

One section of the bed opens from the top to expose the interior of the bed/cabinet. One photo shows the original condition and patina. Please realize we scrubbed and cleaned the item well. It has temporarily lightened the unit.
