When the chair arrived the chair at first appearance looked fine. However this chair was either defective from the manufacturer or returned from a prior sale because one of the chair slats was broken and the piece of wood to hold it within the framework was missing. This was to be used in a charity auction. We had to have a carpenter repair it so we could use it in our display. I was thinking of buying two teak chairs for myself but now I am concerned that the merchandise is used and defective.
TEAK CLOSEOUTS RESPONSE If you don't say anything we can't help you. If the item arrived broken, then please contact us. We inspect every item before they enter the box so the chair likely incurred some damage in transit. Why does a broken slat indicate it was a returned item from a prior sale? No products are used and we never ship returned product. This is kinda an odd review from someone that never contacted us about a problem....we haven't mastered the mind-reading concept yet.
