Yes, the top is unfinished. It is just darker. It will weather like normal teak into a silver color but that is the random nature of some of the reclaimed/recycled wood. We are asking them to stop planing the wood down to look normal. We prefer to see various characteristics in the wood.

The chair varies slightly than the regular Manchester in that it has a recycled-feel texture. The chairs are hand-scrapped for several hours and re-sanded. The results match the texture of the recycled and reclaimed tables a little better. These chairs with recycled tables - both look great technically.

Set is unassembled. Some assembly required.
